Your new role:
We are seeking an advanced nursing leader to provide expert clinical consultancy in acute pain management. You will lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, evidence-based care, reduce opioid-related harm, and improve patient outcomes through innovative practice, education, and research.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership in acute pain management.
- Collaborate with NUM, Nurse Educator, and healthcare teams to deliver person-centred care aligned with organisational goals.
- Lead education, quality improvement, and research initiatives to advance acute pain services.
- Maintain high standards of practice in accordance with NMBA, legislative, and quality frameworks.
About you:
We are looking for an innovative and collaborative nurse leader with advanced clinical knowledge in acute pain care.
You will bring:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with relevant postgraduate qualifications (highly desirable).
- Advanced clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and decision-making skills in acute pain management.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and change management capabilities.
- Proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
