Your new role:
Join Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services (MSAMHS) as a Clinical Nurse, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering specialist nursing care to patients with complex mental health and addiction needs. In this autonomous position, you will lead clinical practice, provide education, and contribute to research, all within a patient-centred and recovery-focused environment.
As a Clinical Nurse, you will:
- Apply advanced clinical and problem-solving skills to manage and coordinate care for consumers with complex needs.
- Provide clinical leadership and expert guidance to nursing teams, supporting and supervising staff while ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
- Lead initiatives in education, research, and service improvement, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic, person-centred care aligned with contemporary mental health nursing practices.
About you:
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse who is committed to advancing mental health and addiction care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for education and research within mental health services.
You will:
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills in addiction and mental health nursing, including comprehensive assessment, care planning, and evaluation of complex cases.
- Exhibit excellent clinical leadership and communication abilities, with experience in supervising nursing staff and promoting a collaborative team environment.
- Be proactive in professional development, education facilitation, and quality improvement initiatives, with a commitment to delivering best practice and evidence-based care.
