Your new role:
As the Trade Coordinator – Mechanical Services, you will oversee and coordinate the maintenance and performance of HVAC and air quality systems across Metro South Health facilities. In this role you will:
- Manage and coordinate HVAC maintenance activities, audits, duct cleaning, and procurement processes.
- Lead and supervise staff and contractors, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with legislation and standards.
- Provide expert advice on facility assets, including condition assessments and lifecycle planning.
- Undertake contract management duties, including negotiation, specification development, and contractor supervision.
About you:
We are seeking a qualified HVAC professional with strong leadership and technical skills who is committed to safe, reliable, and efficient health service operations. To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A recognised HVAC trade qualification, with Restricted Electrical Licence, Arctick Licence, and White Card.
- Demonstrated experience managing HVAC systems and coordinating maintenance activities in complex environments.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage risk, compliance, and quality standards.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to lead teams and influence positive outcomes.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
