Your new role:
As a Travel Services Officer, you will provide expert guidance and support for patient and staff travel in accordance with Department of Health travel policies.
- Coordinate and process patient travel claims under the Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme (PTSS).
- Arrange and manage travel and accommodation bookings for staff and patients, including the Queensland Voluntary Assisted Dying Support and Pharmacy Service (QVAD SPS).
- Act as a super user for the Patient Travel Information Management System (PTIMS), offering expert advice to users across Metro South Health.
- Prepare high-level documents and liaise with key stakeholders, including executive staff and government offices, to support effective and compliant travel arrangements.
About you:
You are a proactive and organised individual with strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality administrative support in a healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated experience in travel coordination and administrative processes, ideally within a government or healthcare context.
- High level of accuracy in data entry and experience with electronic systems such as PTIMS.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to confidently assist patients and staff via phone, email, and in person.
- An understanding of equity and cultural sensitivity when supporting patients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

About us:
The primary function of Administration Services is to provide and co-ordinate a diverse range of administrative support services that support the Clinical Divisions in the delivery of client centred health care. Services provided include the professional leadership of the administrative staff supporting patients and clinicians; specific administration training; projects and process improvements related to administration staff and functions; Elective Admissions, Transit Care Hub and Interim Admissions Centre; Switchboard Services; Metro South Interpreter Services; and Metro South Travel Services.
