About your role
As a Senior Medical Workforce Advisor, you will be the expert point of contact for complex workforce and payroll queries within Medical Workforce Services. Your insights will support safe, compliant, and efficient practices for medical staff across Princess Alexandra Hospital and Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead review and improvement of workflows and administrative processes to boost efficiency and consistency.
- Provide expert advice on HR policies, industrial instruments, and workforce compliance.
- Support fatigue risk management through detailed payroll and rostering analysis.
- Deliver training and support on payroll and rostering systems (e.g., myHR, SAP).
About you
You are a skilled communicator and problem solver with strong knowledge of HR frameworks, payroll systems, and employment legislation. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to continuous improvement and service excellence.
Skills and Attributes:
- Advanced knowledge or rapid acquisition of payroll systems and employment legislation.
- Proven ability to analyze data and provide actionable workforce solutions.
- Ability to lead process improvements and manage competing priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
