Your new role:
As an Administration Officer in the Pharmacy Department, you will provide high-level administrative, reception, and cashier support to ensure efficient and smooth operations. Your role will be vital in maintaining accurate records and delivering quality client service within a busy hospital setting. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing front counter financial transactions, including EFTPOS reconciliation and daily reporting.
- Providing administrative support for prescription tracking, invoicing, and pharmaceutical data systems.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and departmental policies.
- Contributing to process improvements and supporting a positive, respectful workplace culture.
About you:
You are a detail-oriented and proactive administrative professional with strong communication skills and experience in financial processing. You thrive in a busy healthcare environment and are committed to providing excellent client service and supporting team efficiency. To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience handling receipting, card payments, and cashier duties with accuracy and confidentiality.
- High computer literacy, including data entry and database management skills.
- Strong administrative abilities including typing, filing, and document preparation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
