Your new role:

We are seeking a dynamic leader to join the Queensland Tissue Bank (QTB) as Assistant Director, Business Operations and Development. In this senior role, you will shape and drive the non-clinical operations that underpin QTB's service delivery and growth. 

  • Lead and manage QTB's business operations, including administration, finance, HR, business development, research and product development.
  • Oversee staff, budget, and resources to deliver on strategic and operational goals.
  • Provide expert advice and consultancy on business issues, projects and partnerships.
  • Represent QTB at national forums, building networks and driving service growth.

About you:

You are a strategic, people-focused leader who thrives on complexity and can balance operational priorities with service innovation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience managing business operations, budgets, and staff in a complex environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills with the ability to deliver outcomes across multiple business functions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, resolve complex issues, and build strong partnerships.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, professional integrity, and fostering a positive, collaborative workplace.
