Your new role:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Clinical Nurse to join the Internal Medicine Unit, Ward 5C. This role offers the opportunity to provide advanced clinical care and leadership across General Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology, and Medically Unstable Eating Disorder patients in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment. As a Clinical Nurse, you will:
- Deliver advanced clinical assessment, planning, and problem-solving in managing patients with complex care needs.
- Provide clinical leadership, mentoring, and education to support nursing staff, students, and the healthcare team.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives, research, and the development of evidence-based nursing practices.
About you:
You will be an experienced and proactive nursing professional who demonstrates leadership, critical thinking, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care. To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Advanced clinical knowledge and skills in acute medical, diabetes and endocrine care, and/or medically unstable eating disorders.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to mentor, educate, and support a diverse nursing team.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, professional development, and continuous quality improvement.

Princess Alexandra Hospital:
The Princess Alexandra Hospital is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
