About your role:
As a Trainee Sonographer, you will work closely with experienced professionals to deliver supervised ultrasound services while completing a recognised postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound assessments, interventions, and evaluations within clinical protocols and under supervision.
- Manage allocated workloads, prioritise tasks, and maintain accurate patient records.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and complete mandatory training.
- Assist in the development and improvement of clinical practices and protocols.
- Contribute to quality improvement and research initiatives within the department.
About you:
The ideal candidate is motivated, patient-focused, and eager to grow in the field of medical imaging. You have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Health Science e.g. Degree in Applied Science (Medical Imaging).
- Eligibility for enrolment into Post Graduate Qualification in Ultrasound (recognised by ASAR).
- If Base Qualification is Medical Imaging - Must also possess AHPRA registration.
- Radiation Use Licence issued by Queensland Health - Radiation Health.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning.
- Willingness to travel across Metro South locations for work and training purposes.
