About your role:
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will provide expert clinical leadership and consultancy across our Nurse Led Walk In Clinic, supporting assessment, treatment, and referral of minor injuries and illnesses. You will work autonomously and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality, person-centered care. Your leadership will shape clinical practice, drive quality improvement initiatives, and support workforce development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering advanced clinical care and decision-making for minor injury and illness patients.
- Providing mentorship, education, and clinical supervision to nursing staff.
- Leading quality improvement, clinical redesign, and innovation activities.
- Collaborating with Nurse Unit Managers, Nurse Educators, and healthcare teams to ensure integrated care.
- Maintaining compliance with professional standards, legislation, and quality frameworks.
- Supporting research and evidence-based practice to enhance patient outcomes.
- Managing operational and clinical governance responsibilities across multiple facilities.
About you:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate registered nurse who:
- Holds a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with postgraduate qualifications desirable.
- Has advanced clinical knowledge and expertise in minor injury and illness nursing.
- Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Has experience in clinical governance, quality improvement, and mentoring.
- Is proficient or willing to become proficient in electronic medical record systems.
- Holds current Emergency Triage Education Kit (ETEK) certification and Advanced Life Support skills (highly desirable).
- Can work flexibly across multiple clinic locations in the Logan-Beaudesert catchment area.

Nurse Led Walk In Clinic
The nurse-led walk-in clinic aims to improve access to health care and improve long-term health outcomes through assessment and referral for early intervention and treatment of chronic conditions. The nurse-led walk-in clinic supports integrated health care through provision of free, non-life threating injury and illness ambulatory health care.
