Your new role:

As a key member of our Maintenance Services team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and functionality of Metro South Health facilities through planned and corrective maintenance tasks. Your work will directly support the wellbeing of staff and patients by ensuring facility infrastructure is reliable and efficient.

• Perform allocated planned and corrective maintenance activities on plant, infrastructure, and equipment under the direction of Trade Supervisors.
• Assist qualified tradespersons with various maintenance tasks, including test and tagging, plantroom cleaning, and water flushing.
• Ensure all work is conducted safely, timely, cost-effectively, and to prescribed quality standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to minimise disruption and uphold organisational standards.

About you:

We are seeking a dedicated maintenance professional who thrives in a team environment and is committed to safety, quality, and ethical decision-making. You are proactive, reliable, and able to communicate effectively across all organisational levels.

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Basic knowledge or willingness to quickly learn relevant systems such as S/4HANA, Riskman, MyHR, WHS Monitor, and Microsoft Office.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

Beaudesert Hospital is a rural hospital in Queensland's Scenic Rim region with a rich history of healthcare that spans more than 120 years. We provide rural healthcare across a large geographic area south-west of Logan and the Gold Coast with patients who see us coming from Undullah in the north-west right down to the southern Queensland border. We offer services to adults and children, including 24-hour emergency care, maternity, mental, dental, allied health and outpatient clinics, minor surgery and palliative care.
