Your new role:

As a Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist in Geriatric Medicine, you will deliver high-quality clinical services to older patients across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. You will also provide medical leadership, education, and support to junior doctors, while contributing to research, quality improvement, and service development at Logan Hospital.

• Provide specialist geriatric medicine care for acute and sub-acute inpatients and outpatients.
• Supervise, mentor, and educate junior medical staff and registrars.
• Actively participate in quality, audit, research, and patient safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centred care.

About you:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate clinician with a passion for improving outcomes for older adults.

• Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (or equivalent).
• Current registration as a medical specialist in Geriatric Medicine with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated expertise in clinical service delivery, leadership, and supervision.
• Strong commitment to research, education, and service improvement.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
