About your role

As a Registered Nurse with Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services at Logan Hospital, you will provide person-centred care to patients in the acute inpatient setting. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure best-practice outcomes while supporting recovery-focused care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care using evidence-based practices.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient-centred care in collaboration with patients and families.
  • Utilise clinical judgement, critical thinking, and time management to prioritise care.
  • Act as a team leader when delegated, providing coordination and clinical guidance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using EMR and adhere to quality and safety frameworks.
  • Participate in education, mentoring, and quality improvement initiatives.

About you

You are a compassionate and motivated nurse who thrives in a collaborative mental health environment and is committed to continuous learning and professional growth.

You will bring:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and tertiary qualification in Nursing.
  • Experience or willingness to develop skills in mental health assessment and care planning.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based nursing practice and commitment to quality improvement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to supervise, mentor, and support junior staff and students.
  • Commitment to lifelong learning and maintaining clinical competence.
