About your role

As a Senior Psychologist within Logan Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS), you will deliver advanced, evidence-based clinical care to children, young people and their families. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver comprehensive psychological assessments, interventions and care planning.
  • Provide high-level clinical consultation, co-therapy, and therapeutic group facilitation.
  • Mentor and provide professional supervision to HP3 psychologists, students and support staff.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines, protocols and service improvements.
  • Collaborate with consumers, carers, schools, community organisations, and multidisciplinary teams.

About you

You are a skilled and compassionate psychologist who thrives in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment and is passionate about supporting children and young people with complex mental health needs.

You will bring:

  • APAC-accredited psychology qualification and AHPRA general registration.
  • Area of practice endorsement in Clinical Psychology as well as PsyBA approved Supervisor status (highly regarded).
  • Authorised Mental Health Practitioner status (or eligibility to obtain it).
  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering psychological services in a child and youth mental health setting.
  • Strong skills in risk assessment, care planning and interagency liaison.
  • Class C driver's licence and ability to work across multiple sites within Metro South Health.
