Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse within the Amity Ward at Bayside Health Service, you play a vital role in delivering specialist respiratory and acute medical care to patients with complex needs. Your role demands a high level of clinical expertise, autonomy and leadership, ensuring quality, person-centred care throughout the patient journey. Key responsibilites include:
- Providing advanced clinical care and problem-solving in managing respiratory and acute medical patients.
- Leading clinical decision-making and supporting nursing staff through delegation, mentorship and supervision.
- Supporting management functions such as rostering, performance reviews and fostering a positive team culture.
About you:
Your clinical leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities empower you to work autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic healthcare environment. Key skills include:
- Advanced clinical assessment, care planning and delivery of complex respiratory nursing care.
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities, including delegation and mentoring of nursing staff.

Redland Hospital is the major health centre for adults and children in the Redlands and Brisbane's southern bayside suburbs. We provide a range of services including emergency care, primary health and minor injury care, acute and subacute medicine, general surgery, maternity and paediatric, mental specialist outpatient and mental health care.
