Your new role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Support Officer (Electrician) to join our Oral Health Workshop team. In this role, you will provide essential maintenance and support to ensure our mobile health services continue to operate safely and effectively.

  • Perform planned and corrective maintenance on electrical infrastructure and equipment for mobile dental and BreastScreen vans.
  • Install, repair, test, commission, and fault-find on complex electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Supervise and mentor apprentices and trade assistants, fostering safe and quality-driven practices.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with contractors, staff, and stakeholders to deliver timely, cost-effective outcomes.

About you:

The ideal candidate will be a qualified and adaptable professional who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment. You will bring strong technical skills, a safety-first mindset, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.

  • Hold a Queensland-recognised Electrical Fitter/Mechanic qualification, licence, and relevant certifications (e.g. White Card; Blue Card).
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining and repairing electrical systems, including testing and compliance in a healthcare or complex environment.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise multiple tasks effectively, and flexible to respond to changing operational needs.
