Your new role:
In this senior role, you will ensure that culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) patients receive appropriate and culturally safe care by:
- Planning, implementing, and evaluating responsive Multicultural Hospital Liaison Services focused on patient outcomes.
- Advocating for CALD patients and supporting clinicians with culturally appropriate communication, including use of interpreters where needed.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team activities such as case conferences and discharge planning to improve care coordination.
- Leading quality improvement activities within the MHLO service and mentoring AO4 MHLO staff.
About you:
You are a collaborative and empathetic professional who is passionate about improving health equity, with:
- High-level understanding of issues affecting CALD patients and their impact on health and wellbeing.
- Knowledge of health systems, patient navigation, and multicultural community services and networks.
- Strong interpersonal, advocacy, and negotiation skills to work effectively with patients, families, clinicians, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining excellent documentation and confidentiality standards.

Logan Hospital:
Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
