Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and expertise within Amity Ward, supporting respiratory and acute medical services. Working as part of the senior leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe, high-quality, and person-centred care. You will:
- Provide expert clinical consultancy and advanced nursing leadership in respiratory and acute medical nursing.
- Collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager, Nurse Educator and multidisciplinary team to drive excellence in patient care.
- Lead and contribute to education, research, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Support the development of innovative models of care to enhance patient outcomes and workforce capability.
About you:
You are an experienced and passionate nursing professional with advanced respiratory and acute medical expertise. You thrive in collaborative environments and demonstrate strong clinical leadership to guide and support your team. You will have:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (RN) and relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Advanced clinical knowledge and skills in respiratory nursing, including non-invasive ventilation and tracheostomy care.
- Proven ability to provide clinical leadership, mentoring, and education to support staff development.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to person-centred and evidence-based care.

Redland Hospital is the major health centre for adults and children in the Redlands and Brisbane's southern bayside suburbs. We provide a range of services including emergency care, primary health and minor injury care, acute and subacute medicine, general surgery, maternity and paediatric, mental specialist outpatient and mental health care.
