Your new role:
As a Nurse Educator, you will play a key role in shaping the future of nursing practice by leading education, research and workforce development initiatives across Metro South Health. You will:
- Design, deliver and evaluate evidence-based education programs to support nursing and midwifery staff.
- Provide advanced clinical expertise, mentoring and leadership to promote a culture of continuous learning and best practice.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to strengthen workforce capability and ensure safe, person-centred care.
- Contribute to innovation, research, and clinical governance to improve patient outcomes and service delivery
About you:
You are an experienced and passionate nurse leader who thrives on building capability, driving innovation and supporting others to grow. You will have:
- A current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and tertiary nursing qualifications.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and delivering contemporary education and training programs.
- Advanced clinical knowledge, leadership and communication skills to engage and motivate individuals and teams.
- Commitment to excellence in patient care, continuous improvement and fostering a culture of professional learning.

Unit Profile
The Nursing and Midwifery Practice Development Unit is an education and research unit composed of: Nursing Director of Education, specialty specific Nurse and Midwife Educators and Clinical Facilitators. There is also an Administration Officer who supports the Nursing and Midwifery Practice Development Unit. The unit works collaboratively with the service lines to meet the learning and development needs of nurses and midwives whilst promoting a learning culture within the Logan and Beaudesert Health Service and the Bayside Health Service.
