Deliver patient-centered nutrition services in a hospital setting!
The Bayside Health Service Nutrition and Dietetics team provides comprehensive dietetic services to both inpatient and outpatient clients, supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team of dietitians and assistants. This role offers a great opportunity to develop your clinical skills and contribute to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a supportive environment. This is a temporary position until 18 January 2026, with the possibility of extension.

Your new role:
You'll be part of a collaborative, interprofessional team delivering tailored nutritional interventions, engaging in discharge planning and mentoring students and assistants—all while developing your own expertise under the guidance of senior clinicians.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver evidence-based clinical assessments and nutrition interventions.
- Educate patients and support discharge planning in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Manage an appropriate caseload using effective time management and prioritisation skills.
- Provide education, direction and supervision for routine tasks to less experienced staff, students and support staff.
- Actively participate in team meetings, case conferences and interprofessional care.
About you:
You are a dedicated and compassionate Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with a strong commitment to evidence-based, patient-centred care. You thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and are eager to continuously develop your clinical skills. You bring strong communication abilities and the capacity to engage effectively with patients, families and healthcare teams.
Key skills you bring include:
- Proven clinical competency in assessing, planning and managing nutrition care for diverse adult patient groups.
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance and collaborate with senior clinicians.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to professional development and willingness to participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics and current APD accreditation.

Redland Hospital is the major health centre for adults and children in the Redlands and Brisbane's southern bayside suburbs.
