Your new Role:

This position is responsible for managing and supervising internal and external trades teams, apprentices, and contractors to perform planned and corrective maintenance, ensuring Metro South Health facilities are maintained safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. It also includes oversight of all High and Low Voltage electrical networks and equipment, such as substations, switchboards, UPS systems, and specialized devices, while upholding safety, quality, and customer service standards.

You will embrace Metro South Health's values and be motivated to lead and support our team. Bringing your expertise and experience in electrical trades supervision, you'll play a key role in maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations. You will have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively manage teams and contractors
  • Proven ability to adapt to shifting priorities and meet tight maintenance deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical and operational challenges
  • A collaborative and flexible approach to working with diverse trades teams to achieve maintenance goals
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship management skills to foster positive teamwork and stakeholder engagement

Highly desirable qualifications include:

    • HV Switching (Must complete within the first 12 months in the role)
    • Certificate III instrumentation
    • Working in Hazardous Areas

Assets and Infrastructure Division:

Metro South Maintenance Services are the incumbent maintenance provider for Metro South Health Hospitals and Health Service (MSH) Facilities, with the primary objective to manage the corrective and preventative maintenance for all MSH infrastructure and facilities. Metro South's asset management objectives define the approach for delivering maintenance outcomes and the role of Maintenance management in supporting the achievement of the organisational objectives.
