Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant (Breast Care), you'll lead specialised breast cancer care across Bayside Health Service, working with the McGrath Foundation and Breast Surgeons to deliver coordinated, evidence-based support from diagnosis to survivorship.
You'll make an impact by:
- Providing advanced clinical expertise and consultancy in breast cancer care across acute and community settings.
- Delivering person-centred, evidence-based care that supports patients' physical, emotional, and psychosocial wellbeing.
- Partnering with the McGrath Foundation and multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and access to services.
- Mentoring and supporting nursing teams to uphold the highest standards of breast cancer care.
- Leading initiatives in quality improvement, education, and research aligned with the McGrath Model of Care.
- Working across all Bayside Health Service sites, including Redland Hospital, Wynnum Manly Community Health Centre, and the Marie Rose Centre at North Stradbroke Island.
About you:
You are a compassionate and experienced nurse with advanced clinical expertise, strong leadership, and a collaborative approach that drives excellence in breast cancer care.
You'll thrive in this role with:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Minimum five years post-registration experience, including at least three in oncology, palliative care or a cancer speciality.
- Postgraduate qualifications (or current enrolment) in a relevant specialty, highly regarded.
- Advanced clinical assessment, problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to educate, mentor and lead nursing staff in contemporary breast care practice.
- Commitment to quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and the McGrath Foundation's model of care.

Redland Hospital is the major health centre for adults and children in the Redlands and Brisbane's southern bayside suburbs.
