This position contributes to effective employment relations services for management and employees across Metro South Hospital and Health Service. Lead development and implementation of workforce policy and procedures, offering guidance on industrial disputes, award interpretation, and HR matters, including representation in courts and tribunals.

About the Role
- Identify and respond to new and emerging human resource and industrial relations issues and advise on the longer-term implications for Metro South Health.
- Manage key emergent projects and initiatives impacting the Metro South Health workforce, including providing high level support in the implementation of whole-of-government and/or Department of Health human resource and industrial relations enterprise bargaining requirements, policy and initiatives across Metro South Health.
- Provide high level written and oral advice across Metro South Health in the case management of employment relations matters.
- Prepare detailed written submissions and advocate on behalf of Metro South Health in coordination with the Director Employment Relations at the various tribunals and commissions, including (but not limited to) the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission, the Anti-Discrimination Commission (Qld) and the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal; and appear before these tribunals and commissions as required.
