Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services are looking for Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist to join their team. This role provides specialist psychiatry Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) support and clinical care to patients across inpatient and community settings and assumes overall responsibility for patient care.

About the Role

Services provided include:

• Provides specialist services at Metro South Hospital and Health Service,
• Provides inpatient care, including participating in the on-call roster
• Undertakes elective and/or emergency surgery / procedures
• Provides inpatient consultations as requested
• Provides outpatient consultations
• Participates in multidisciplinary clinics and meetings
• Supervision and teaching of registrars, junior doctors and medical students, and teaching for other members of the multidisciplinary team
• Participation and or leadership of research and quality improvement activities
