Brisbane South State Secondary College (BSSSC), located in Dutton Park, opened in 2021 for its first cohort. With a motto 'Novo Discere Mundo' – Learning for a New World, an exciting opportunity exists for innovative Maths and Science teachers to become a part of the teaching team at the new vertical school. Teachers coming into a new school environment need to have exceptional relational skills, be driven to build a positive, welcoming and supportive school culture and be willing and able to commit to the school's development and growth.
In collaboration with The University of Queensland (UQ), Brisbane South State Secondary College is already setting the benchmark for secondary education nationally, and provides students with an innovative physical and pedagogical environment where teaching and learning is tailored for every student. Applicants for these positions must possess:
- Brisbane South State Secondary College offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum as well as the Queensland Curriculum in the senior phase of learning. Experience with teaching IB curriculum is desirable.

- Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. Pre-service/graduate teachers must have been granted provisional registration prior to commencing employment as a teacher. For more information regarding registration requirements, please Click Here.
- Employment for pre-service/graduate teachers will be subject to the successful completion of a relevant teaching qualification and meeting the minimum requirements as a teacher with the department.
