As the Principal of Belmont State School, you will play a vital role in delivering the vision of the department. The leadership role of Principal is critical to improving the educational outcomes of students in their schools. The Principal has a major influence on developing the quality of teaching and learning and nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.

About the School

Belmont is a large school for Prep to Year 6 students. Located in Brisbane's eastern suburbs, the school services the vibrant and well-connected communities of Carindale and Chandler. 

About the Role 

As the Principal, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the school community in developing and committing to a shared vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Uphold values-based, ethical leadership.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.
  • Nurture positive partnerships with students, teachers, community and stakeholders.
  • Be future-oriented and strategic.
  • Understand policies and legislation effecting the department.
  • Manage department resources to achieve goals.
