This is a temporary full-time position to commence in Term 3, for a period of 12 months unless otherwise determined.

About the Role
As the Head of Department - Junior Secondary, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Strengthen Junior Secondary identity and belonging for Year 7-8 students as they begin high school.
- Coordinate Junior Secondary leadership opportunities and support Student Mentors across year levels.
- Drive strategic and innovative approaches to curriculum, pedagogy, staff development, and continuous improvement.
- Lead the development, implementation, and review of the school's explicit improvement agenda.
- Build staff capability through a problem-of-practice approach to improvement, collaborative empowerment through faculty-based professional learning teams, coaching, mentoring.
- Foster a growth mindset by creating a low-risk, high-challenge environment that encourages innovation and improvement.
- Proven ability to lead collaborative staff practice and contribute effectively to team environments.
Strong communicator with the ability to engage all stakeholders.
