Ipswich Special School is seeking a dedicated, creative, and passionate teacher to join our team of skilled educators. Our Pre-prep to Year 12 school offers an exciting opportunity to work across multiple year levels, with the possibility of taking on a class in 2025. We value high-quality teachers and provide extensive professional support, whether you are a graduate or making a career change into Special Education. In this role, you will collaborate within a supportive team of teachers, teacher aides, therapists, and allied health workers to provide tailored education to students with intellectual disabilities. Essential skills include teamwork, delivering the Australian Curriculum with wrap-around support services, and expertise in communication, behavior support, and pedagogy. Flexibility, creativity, and an understanding of each learner's strengths are also highly valued. We foster a positive, collaborative culture where all staff work together to overcome challenges and deliver the best outcomes for our students. Located in Central Ipswich, our school offers extensive grounds, a state-of-the-art hydro pool, and a commitment to continuous professional growth. • Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland.
