Yeronga State High School is currently seeking multiple Teacher Aide's for 2025. As the Teacher Aide you will contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers, students and parents with learning activities and administrative duties in a supportive school environment. These are temporary part time positions (50 hours per fortnight or 0.66 FTE) until 12 December 2025, unless otherwise determined.

About the Role:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Teacher Aides to join our high school community, providing tailored support to students with disabilities and in particular: physical impairment, intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and other disabilities. This role is pivotal in fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment, ensuring all students have equal access to education.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, facilitating their participation in classroom activities.
  • Supporting and assisting students who require assistive technology to communicate.
  • Implement and support behaviour management strategies in line with individual student plans.
  • Assist with personal care needs, including toileting, mobility and feeding, as required.
  • Support students during school excursions and extracurricular activities.
