Coordinate student homestays and deliver study tour events that enhance global engagement and provide exceptional experiences for international students.

About the Role

This role is based at Balmoral State High School and supports the school's vibrant international education program. Reporting to the school leadership team and working closely with the International Student Coordinator, the successful applicant will coordinate and manage homestay placements for international students, ensuring their wellbeing, safety, and smooth integration into school and community life.

In addition, the role plays a key part in the planning, promotion, and delivery of international study tours. You will assist with event coordination, communication with education agents and international schools, and marketing activities that showcase Balmoral SHS as a welcoming and globally connected learning community.

This is a diverse and rewarding position suited to someone with strong organisational and interpersonal skills who is passionate about student wellbeing and cross-cultural engagement. You'll be part of a team that supports young people from around the world, contributing to meaningful cultural exchange and enriching the school's inclusive environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and manage homestay placements for international students, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and student welfare requirements.
  • Liaise with homestay providers, students, families, and agents to maintain clear communication and resolve issues effectively.
  • Assist with the planning, promotion, and delivery of international study tours, including marketing support and event logistics.
  • Maintain accurate records and data management systems related to homestay arrangements, student information, and program participation.
  • Support the broader international student program, contributing to a positive, inclusive, and culturally rich school environment.
