Glenala caters for a diverse range of learners from a variety of cultural backgrounds. As such, we are seeking applications for a dedicated Community Liaison Officer to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.

The successful applicant will be required to work with the principal liaising with our African Students, Families and Community.

About Glenala State High School

Glenala State High School offers students the opportunity to excel academically, culturally, in service to others and on the sporting fields. The school is a growing, modern and dynamic high school with high expectations for all students and staff. A strong culture of learning is evident across the school. Glenala caters for a diverse range of learners from a variety of cultural backgrounds. We take pride in our physical environment with beautiful grounds and modern, well maintained and equipped classrooms. We have an enrolment of over 1,000 students in 2022 and 155 staff work at the school.

About the Role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement strategies for effective links between home and school related issues and to encourage greater interest and participation in school activities and programs.
  • Facilitate opportunity for raising parental concerns and advocate equity of service provision.
  • Promote liaison activities to provide information to parents, the school and its community, and facilitate community development activities to improve relations between the school and its community.
  • Act as the contact for parents/carers and the indigenous community to determine relevant issues for improved relationships between the school and its indigenous community.

  • This role will be engaging with our African Students, Families and Community
