Your Opportunity
As the Teacher Aide, you will:
- Contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.
The Teacher Aide reports to the Principal or nominated delegate as appropriate. The reporting relationship to teachers may be changed by the Principal on a regular basis to fulfil specific needs within the school. When supporting students with specific health procedures, a Teacher Aide will be under the direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse or medical practitioner.
Your Responsibilities
As the Teacher Aide, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting our college priorities and vision of ‘Every Student Succeeding' by maintaining high expectations and providing positive learning environments.
- Working effectively and displaying a high level of interpersonal skills as a member of the Inclusive Practices Department.
- Promoting our college values: Commitment, Inclusivity, Respect, and Integrity.
- Displaying confidentiality, empathy, reliability, and respect toward all students and their families.
- Maintaining confidentiality, reliability, and sensitivity when working with or discussing students and staff.
- Communicating effectively and demonstrating strong interpersonal skills to function as an effective team member.
- Assisting teaching staff with playground and bus supervision.
