This part-time role is 60 hours per fortnight at 0.79 FTE and supports students and teachers in creating a safe, inclusive learning environment that drives positive outcomes for all.

- Demonstrated experience in supporting students in an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families.

- Knowledge of child development and strategies to support students' social and emotional needs.
- Proficiency in record-keeping and report preparation.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying informed about best practices in student support.
Your Responsibilities
As the Teacher Aide, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Resource and Innovation Centre
- Manage borrowing, returns, shelving, and stocktake of school resources
- Process incoming and outgoing resources: ordering, receiving, covering, and storage
- Coordinate school locker allocation and management
- Establish and maintain systems for class set borrowing and returns
- Provide communication regarding overdue/lost resources via Oliver and Daymap systems
- Assist with planning for Resource Centre development and future programs
- Assist with the planning and delivery of school programs (e.g. Chess Club, Lego Club, Reading Groups, Debating)
- Support students and staff in using digital learning platforms such as ReadCloud, Education Perfect and Mathspace
- Collaborate and support IT HUB and IT Team
- Collaborate with the University of Queensland and staff to drive innovation aligned with school vision.
- Provide tailored support to students, addressing individual needs to promote positive educational outcomes.
- Collaborate with student support hub to develop and implement effective student support strategies.
- Assist in monitoring and improving student attendance, behaviour, and overall engagement.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of programs aimed at enhancing student wellbeing and resilience.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student support activities.
- Participate and support in school events and initiatives that foster a positive and inclusive school culture.
Experience
Highly desirable but not mandatory experience is:
- Experience working in a school environment or resource centre is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a student-centred approach
- Confident with digital platforms and database systems (e.g. Oliver, Daymap)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, diverse environment
- A team player with a passion for education and innovation.
