Your Opportunity
As the Teacher Aide, you will:
- Contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.
The Teacher Aide reports to the Principal or nominated delegate as appropriate. The reporting relationship to teachers may be changed by the Principal on a regular basis to fulfil specific needs within the school. When supporting students with specific health procedures, a Teacher Aide will be under the direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse or medical practitioner.
Your Responsibilities
As the Teacher Aide, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Work in collaboration with the Senior Schooling team and Inclusive Practices team to monitor and track students' achievement and outcomes with a focus on data collection, analysis and reporting.
- Access, track and connect the progress data of students in the Vocational Education and Training pathway.
- Assist the Senior Schooling team in recruiting students to Registered Training Organisations, potential employers and Disability Employment Service providers.
- Contributing to work experience placement programs, including employer engagement, record management, and student monitoring
- Updating medical and support records, and maintaining accurate data in school data base.
- Tracking and analysing student data using tools such as Excel and Microsoft Access to support school reporting.
- Providing reception and office-based support, including handling confidential correspondence, medical reports/diagnosis and assisting with newsletters.
- Forming strong partnerships with industry, Disability Employment Services, and Registered Training Organisations to assist student transition to employment.
Highly desirable skills
Highly desirable but not mandatory skills are:
- Strong administrative, organisational, and communication skills
- High-level data entry and analysis capabilities
- Ability to form professional relationships with families, staff, and external partners
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and data tools
- Commitment to the school's values and inclusive culture
