Applicants for these positions must possess:

  • A passionate early years educator with knowledge of the Department's Reading Position Statement and Synthetic Phonics approach.  
  • A strong literacy background and knowledge of DRA (Decodable Readers Australia) would be advantageous however not essential.
  • A willingness to learn and develop their knowledge and understanding of the teaching of literacy in the early years is essential.
  • A relevant teaching qualification. More info
  • Full or provisional Queensland teacher registration. More info
  • Pre-service teachers must complete their course and meet department requirements
  • Australian working rights or a valid visa
