About the Role

 The Head of Department responsible for Transition School at Runcorn State High School leads a dedicated team focused on supporting students as they transition into high school. This role drives curriculum initiatives in line with school and departmental priorities and promotes high-impact teaching practices to improve student learning outcomes. The position plays a vital role in building a positive, inclusive learning environment by nurturing strong relationships with students, staff, families, and the wider community. It offers a unique opportunity to lead with purpose and make a meaningful difference in students' educational journeys.

Your Responsibilities 

As the Head of Department, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:  

Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.

Embed socially just practices in daily school life.

 Set high standards for student and staff performance.
