Who We Are:
Queensland Pathways State College offers a senior transitions program for young people in grades 10 to 12 who face significant barriers in accessing mainstream education. We actively identify, develop and facilitate clear pathways to post-school education, training or employment, while focusing on student-centred learning, student wellbeing, vocational development and community partnerships. Queensland Pathways State College recognises that mainstream schools have the greatest access to support and services and those students who can attend mainstream schools should continue to attend. However, we understand that for some adolescents, mainstream school cannot provide the necessary support and environment required to stay engaged. Therefore we have an enrolment eligibility process for all students wanting to enrol.
Step Into Your Next Chapter:
- You will lead the coordination and delivery of work experience, school-based apprenticeships and traineeships, working closely with industry partners, training providers, and community organisations to create meaningful career pathways for students who face challenges in mainstream education.
- You will promote vocational education and training opportunities, developing and maintaining strong employer relationships, coordinating student placements, and supporting work readiness programs.
- You will play an active role in the classroom to enhance student engagement and ensure they are well-prepared for successful transitions beyond school.
Please view the Role Description for a full list of responsibilities.
The Perfect Fit:
- Strong stakeholder engagement and networking skills
- Experience in vocational training, employment services, or education
- Ability to manage programs, events, and marketing strategies.
Submit Your Application:
- Attach a brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should have an understanding of your relevant work history)

We welcome all applicants to share any support needed to ensure our recruitment process is inclusive.
Applications remain current for 12 months from the closing date and may be considered for appointment to identical or similar vacancies within the Department.
