About Queensland Pathways State College

Queensland Pathways State College is a senior secondary school supporting young people aged 15 to 18 years (minimum Year 10), who have found it challenging to thrive in mainstream schooling. Many of our students have experienced complex life circumstances, such as trauma, mental health challenges, or housing instability, that have interrupted their learning journey.

At QPSC, we believe in every student's potential. Our college is built on the values of belief, unity, and respect, creating a culture where students feel safe, supported, and empowered to succeed. We foster a strong sense of belonging and connection, ensuring that every learner is known, valued, and heard.

We deliver a 12-month senior transitions program focused on literacy, numeracy, workplace readiness, and wellbeing. Our goal is to guide every student toward achieving a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and transitioning successfully into further education, training, or employment. We work in close partnership with families, community organisations, and support services to provide wraparound care and personalised pathways.

Your Role

As Head of Campus for Metro South, you will lead the Coorparoo and Mount Gravatt campuses with a clear focus on student-centred leadership and inclusive practice.

Your role will:

  • Lead teaching and learning across both campuses, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed, and strengths-based practices
  • Drive improvement in student outcomes through personalised learning and high expectations
  • Lead a strategic portfolio across all nine QPSC campuses
  • Foster respectful, inclusive relationships with students, staff, families, and community partners
  • Model and embed QPSC's core values of belief, unity, and respect in every aspect of campus leadership
  • Ensure operational excellence and resource management across your campuses

Responsibilities include

  • Champion QPSC's vision of “Every Student Succeeding” through responsive, high-quality teaching and learning
  • Set and uphold high standards for student achievement and staff performance
  • Build strong partnerships with families, government agencies, and community organisations
  • Lead with belief in every student's potential, unity across teams and campuses, and respect for diverse experiences and perspectives
  • Manage campus resources to support strategic and operational priorities

About You

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in leading high-performing, values-driven teams
  • Deep understanding of the QCE system and Vocational Education pathways
  • Expertise in strategic planning and whole-school improvement
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and inclusive adjustments for students with disabilities
  • A leadership style grounded in belief, unity, and respect, with a commitment to equity and personalised learning

Benefits

  • Flexible work arrangements
  • Small student cohorts for deeper impact
  • High levels of job satisfaction (see School Opinion Survey)
  • Opportunity to lead with purpose and make a lasting difference
