An exciting opportunity now exists for a School Technical Officer to join our team. We are seeking an experienced, solutions‑focused individual with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide high‑level ICT support in a fast-paced school environment. The School Technical Officer will work closely with the Business Manager, teaching staff, and regional ICT support teams to maintain and enhance the school’s technology systems, ensuring reliability, safety, and efficiency across all digital platforms.

About the Role

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to building positive relationships, delivering high‑quality client service, and contributing to a collaborative and supportive school culture. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that staff and students have access to functional, up‑to‑date and well‑maintained equipment, while providing knowledgeable, patient and professional technical assistance.

About You

At West End State School, inaddition to the full Role Description for mandatory requirements for this position:

  • The applicant must be able to provide on‑site technical support for staff and students, including troubleshooting devices, peripherals, classroom technologies, AV/sound systems, printers and ICT infrastructure.
  • Work collaboratively with school leadership to plan ICT upgrades, asset replacement cycles and future technology needs.
  • Manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment while displaying professionalism, personal integrity, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Applicants must hold a current Blue Card, and a criminal history check will be completed before employment can commence.
