About Us
Brisbane Youth Education & Training Centre is part of the Queensland Education and Training Centre, a multi-campus Department of Education school operating across South East Queensland's youth detention centres. We provide educational services to male and female students from across the state who are either on remand or serving sentences.
Our work is both significant and transformative. QETC plays a critical role in supporting young people in detention to develop the knowledge, skills, and values needed to make positive life choices and pursue constructive futures.
Through our external-facing RTO, Vocational Training Queensland, we deliver literacy and numeracy programs to disengaged and at-risk youth across the state, spanning a variety of learning environments and partner organisations. The successful applicant will develop a digital platform that supports learning across all campuses as well as for students engaged remotely.
What We Offer
- Access to high-quality professional learning, mentoring, and collaborative planning opportunities.
- Modern facilities and a well-resourced working environment.
- A positive and supportive team culture where staff are valued and encouraged to grow professionally.
- A rare opportunity to design and deliver a high-impact digital platform that will significantly improve access to learning resources and contribute to better literacy and numeracy outcomes for at-risk youth across Queensland.
About the Role
In this role, you will design and build intuitive, visually engaging, and highly functional interactive solutions with an accessible user interface. Working closely with key stakeholders, you will translate educational needs into interactive digital experiences, ensuring the platform is functional, user-friendly, and scalable.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong expertise in digital creation, user interaction design and web development, with a sharp focus on user experience and a passion for leveraging technology to enhance learning outcomes. A commitment to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement will be essential.
If you thrive in a creative, collaborative environment and are excited by the opportunity to shape the future of digital education, we encourage you to apply.
