About the School:
Lowood State High School is a large rural Queensland school educating students from Year 7 through to Year 12.
The school was established in 1983 and is located 32 km north-west of Ipswich.
Our students' primary school experiences range from one teacher schools to large primary schools.
About the Role:
As the Guidance Officer, your Case Management Guidance Officer responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement individual plans, programs, and procedures to assist students identified from your case load (approximately 30 students for each Case Management Guidance Officer)
- Collaboratively negotiate with teachers and stakeholders to develop and implement programs for students to support their personal, social and emotional, and educational needs
- Use a range of data, including NCCD data, that is informed by a broad range of data collection methods, inclusive of classroom observations
- Foster resilience and personal skills with students on your case load
- Balance the ethical issues of privacy and confidentiality for each student with the appropriateness of sharing information with others, and maintain a comprehensive and professional record keeping system that complies with policy and legal requirements of parental and legal access to official records
