About Us:
Ipswich West State Special School is a co-educational school catering for students from Prep - Year 12.
For students in Prep - Year 10, Ipswich West Special School delivers the Australian Curriculum using students' Curriculum Plans to guide the individual educational needs of each student. Students in senior schooling, including students in Year 10, access Certificate 1 level Vocational Courses. Students in Year 11 and 12 have Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority curriculum plans developed so the Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement can be awarded at the completion of Year 12.
Our school focuses on Postive Behaviour for Learning with our school rules being: safe, respectful, learner.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Set and maintain high standards for both student achievement and staff performance
- Engage in continuous professional learning and foster strong partnerships with parents, community, and industry
- Apply strategic, future-focused thinking while managing resources and complying with relevant policies and legislation
