Facilities Officer - Corinda State High School

Corinda State High School is seeking a proactive, organised and customer-focused Facilities Officer (AO4) to lead the day-to-day management of our facilities and grounds. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced facilities professional to contribute to a high-performing school environment that supports student success and community engagement. As a key member of the school's operational team, you will work closely with the Principal, Business Manager and Facilities staff to ensure our buildings, grounds and assets are safe, functional and well-maintained. The role involves coordinating maintenance programs, managing contractors, overseeing school facilities and supporting compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Principal or delegate, the Facilities Officer will:
- Coordinate the daily operation and management of school facilities, grounds and assets.
- Oversee planned and reactive maintenance programs, ensuring timely completion of works.
- Supervise and support facilities staff, contractors and service providers.
- Manage access permits, keys, alarms and site security arrangements.
- Coordinate the hire and use of school facilities and fleet vehicles where applicable.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure facilities meet safety, security and operational standards.
- Monitor maintenance budgets, procurement activities and stock requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, registers and compliance documentation.
- Support the implementation of the school's Facility Management Plan and Workplace Health and Safety obligations.

About You:
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Experience in facilities, property, asset or maintenance management.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Experience coordinating contractors and service providers.
- Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to work independently while leading and supporting a team.
- Competence in administrative systems, budgeting and record management.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service within a school environment.
