A unique leadership opportunity is available to help shape and lead a new integrated educational campus in one of Queensland's growing communities. The Department of Education is seeking an experienced and future-focused educational leader for the role of Head of Campus
(Level 5) for the new special school campus co-locating with Woogaroo Creek State School in the Springfield-Redbank corridor.
Opening in 2027, this innovative integrated campus model will bring together an established primary school and a newly established special
school campus, creating opportunities for authentic collaboration, inclusive practices and strong community partnerships. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate leader to contribute to the establishment of a new school culture, build high-performing teams and deliver

About the Role:
As Head of Campus, you will work collaboratively with the Principal and broader leadership team to establish and lead the new special school campus, ensuring high quality educational outcomes for all students.
You will play a key role in:
- Leading a positive, inclusive and high-expectations school culture
- Developing quality teaching and learning practices that support diverse learners
- Building strong partnerships with families, staff and the wider community
- Supporting integrated campus approaches and collaborative ways of working
- Leading strategic planning and operational processes during the establishment phase
- Managing human, financial and physical resources effectively
- Embedding socially just and inclusive practices in everyday school life
- Supporting staff capability development and professional growth
The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusive education and experience leading teams supporting students with diverse and complex learning needs.
About You
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Proven leadership experience within a special school or inclusive education setting
- Strong knowledge of curriculum, differentiation and evidence-based teaching practices for students with disability
- The ability to build and sustain positive relationships across a complex educational environment
- Strategic thinking and the ability to lead change within a new and evolving context
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A collaborative and solutions-focused leadership approach
- The capacity to establish a culture grounded in professionalism, wellbeing and high expectations
- Experience managing resources and operational priorities effectively
Experience in establishing new programs, leading inclusive practices or working within integrated educational settings will be highly regarded.
