An exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated, professional and enthusiastic Schools Officer- Grounds and Facilities to join our team at Collingwood Park State Secondary College.
CPSSC is a new school, opening in 2025. This is a full time, temporary position until 18 September 2026 unless otherwise
determined, where you will directly contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the school by providing a high level of grounds and facilities care and support, including maintenance of grounds and buildings, repairs and security.

About the Role:
- As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the school by providing a high level of grounds and facilities to the Principal, Business Manager or nominated delegate.
- You will perform a range of activities to ensure that the school is maintained to a high standard; follow set instructions; and have independence to perform a variety of day-to-day services that are routine in nature. However, the role receives regular supervision when undertaking duties that are non-routine in nature.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain school grounds, facilities, equipment, and resources.
- Complete general operational tasks including deliveries, stock control, asset management, and event setup.
- Coordinate repairs, maintenance, contractors, and facility upkeep.
- Support grounds care, gardening, sporting areas, and outdoor improvements.
- Manage security systems, building access, and safety requirements.
- Ensure WHS compliance, hazard reporting, and safe equipment use.
- Assist with cleaning, waste management, and urgent maintenance tasks.
- Liaise with staff, contractors, and suppliers on facilities matters.
- Maintain records, equipment registers, and maintenance schedules.
