At Victoria Point State School we are seeking an inspiring and dedicated leader to join our school community as Deputy Principal, with a focus on Years 3-6. This role is pivotal in fostering a sense of belonging and engagement among students, staff, and families, while driving initiatives to improve engagement and attendance across the school. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping a positive and inclusive school culture that supports every student to thrive. This is a temporary full-time position until 11 December 2026, unless otherwise determined.

About Us:

Victoria Point State School is situated in the South East Education region, 38 km south-east of Brisbane on the beautiful shores of Moreton Bay. Our school was opened in 1916, with our oldest classroom block being built in 1923.  Our students come from a large area including local suburbs and islands.

The Traditional Owners of much of Redland City, collectively known as the Quandamooka People, have lived on the lands and seas surrounding Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) for at least 21,000 years.  Our school has strong connections with the Quandamooka People and work to strengthen our ties.

Focus on Years 3-6: Be part of a team dedicated to supporting students during these critical years of development, fostering their academic, social, and emotional growth.

They will have experience in implementing engagement and attendance improvement strategies and will embody ethical and professional values that inspire others to achieve their best.
