We are seeking experienced Workplace Health and Safety Coordinator's to lead and coordinate health, safety and wellbeing initiatives across three schools within the Springfield area.

The successful applicant/s will be responsible for leading whole-school health management planning, supporting staff and students through proactive injury management and fostering a safe and supportive learning and working environment.

These three positions are each being offered on a temporary part-time basis; however, there may be an opportunity for the positions to be combined to create one full-time temporary position.

Your opportunity:

The details of the positions are as follows: 

Springfield Central State School (Monday & Thursday) - 0.40 FTE - 29 hours per fortnight

Spring Mountain State School (Tuesday) 0.20 FTE - 14.5 hours per fortnight

Springfield Central State High School (Wednesday & Friday) - 0.40 FTE - 29 hours per fortnight

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide timely, professional, and confidential workplace health and safety advice to school leaders and staff.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of workplace health, safety, and wellbeing systems across both schools.
• Assist with risk assessments, inspections, audits, hazard management, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate incident reporting, investigations, and follow-up activities.
• Support rehabilitation and return-to-work processes for ill or injured employees through early intervention and ongoing case coordination.
• Monitor WHS data to identify trends, emerging risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Facilitate safety training, inductions, and awareness activities that build staff capability and strengthen safety culture.
• Support leadership teams in emergency preparedness, fire safety compliance, and critical incident response.
• Develop reports, recommendations, and communications that support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
