Metro South Health are seeking expressions of interest from Security Officers for future casual opportunities over the next 12 months. You will provide emergency and response services and protection of building infrastructure and support the Facility Security Supervisor to ensure a high standard of service delivery to staff, patients and visitors through compliance to Metro South Hospital and Health Service (MSHHS) policies and procedures. Positions may be offered across all Metro South Hospital and Health Service facilities.

About the Role
Provide emergency and response services and protection of building infrastructure. Support the Facility Security Supervisor to ensure a high standard of service delivery to staff, patients and visitors through compliance to Metro South Hospital and Health Service (MSHHS) policies and procedures.
- Deliver requirements of the physical security policy and procedures to reduce the risk to staff, patients, visitors, suppliers and MSH assets.
- Prioritise tasks and ensure requests for security and/or emergency assistance are in accordance with MSHHHS policy and procedures.
- Conduct regular patrols of the external campus focussing on the identified buildings.
- Assist in the fire and fire alarm response, including fire panel and response.
Eligibility Requirements
- Able to undertake shift work covering 24 hrs a day seven days a week.
- Work across multiple worksites within MSHHS.
- Ability to undertake prescribed physical restraint and manual training upon employment.
- Demonstrated experience working in a security services team within a healthcare or similar organisation with respect to legislative and procedural requirements.
