About the Role

As the Head of Department - English, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the curriculum focus and school department in developing and committing to a shared vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.
  • Build partnerships with students, parents, agencies, and community groups.
  • Be future-oriented and strategic.
  • Understand legislation and policies impacting on the school department, students and staff. 
  • Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the school department to achieve goals.
