Golden Beach State School seeks an enthusiastic Teacher Aide with experience in working with students with Diverse Learning needs within a Primary School setting.

To be suitable for this role, you are required to be willing to work from Prep to Year 6 supporting all Diverse Learners and join a supportive team environment.

This role is offered on a temporary part-time basis, at 0.79 FTE and 60 hours per fortnight, from 14 July 2025 until 12 December 2025, unless otherwise determined.

About the Role

As a Diverse Learning Hub Teacher Aide supporting Diverse Learners you will contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting students within classroom settings. You need to be able to think on your feet and have a solid understanding of the inclusive education policy for EQ. You need to be able to follow explicit programs working within small groups and individual settings. At times you will work with students who have complex behaviour needs and require extensive support within the learning environment. At times you will be required to support with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities that will be used within the classroom setting.

The DLH Teacher Aide reports to the Head of Diversity and year level Diverse Learning Hub Teachers. The reporting relationship to teachers may be changed by the principal on a regular basis to fulfil specific needs within the school. When supporting students with specific health procedures, a Teacher Aide will be under the direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse or medical practitioner.

GBSS has a large DLH that supports students with in the classroom setting and in small groups. The schools' inclusive vision is to ensure every student succeeds and receives the support they need to belong to the school community, engage in purposeful learning and experiences success within the school setting.
